Afpak File: Imran Khan Goes To Moscow Amid Conflict In Ukraine

On Wednesday, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in Moscow for a key visit meant to solidify several years of growing Russia-Pakistan relations. It marked the first time since 1999 that a Pakistani prime minister traveled to Russia for bilateral meetings.
However, just hours after Khan touched down, Russian troops began invading Ukraine. The latest episode of The AfPak File takes stock of Khan鈥檚 visit against the backdrop of the Ukraine conflict.
Was Islamabad right in not postponing the trip? How will the visit advance Russia-Pakistan relations? What is the current state of Russia-Pakistan relations, and what might their trajectory look like in the future?
