Hillary Clinton Honored with Namesake Fellowship

WASHINGTON 鈥 乐鱼 体育 hosted former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and a group of Fulbright Fellows on July 29 to commemorate the J. William Fulbright-Hillary Rodham Clinton Fellowships, a new fellowship under the State Department鈥檚 Fulbright program in honor of Secretary Clinton.  

Secretary Clinton provided remarks on the fellowship and importance of international engagement, with a welcome by 乐鱼 体育 Director, President, and CEO Jane Harman and an introduction by Tom Healy, chairman of the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board.

The Fulbright-Clinton Fellowships were inaugurated in the 2012-2013 academic year. Fellows serve in professional placements in foreign government ministries or institutions, functioning in a 鈥渟pecial assistant鈥 role for a senior level official. The fellowships promote long-term ties between the U.S. and the partner country.
