Expert Bio
Jennifer Pribble is Associate Professor of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Richmond. She specializes in Latin American political economy. Her book, Welfare and Party Politics in Latin America (Cambridge University Press, 2013) develops and tests a theory to explain why some Latin American states have been more effective than others at reforming social policy in a universalistic direction. The book was translated to Spanish and published with Mi帽o y D谩vila in 2017 (Partidos Pol铆ticos y Estado de Bienestar en Am茅rica Latina). Pribble's research has been published in peer-reviewed journals, including Latin American Research Review, the American Sociological Review, Comparative Politics, Studies in Comparative International Development, and Latin American Politics and Society. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
