A distinguished business leader and advocate for women鈥檚 empowerment, Nuria Mar铆n Ravent贸s is co-founder and co-president of Alvarez & Mar铆n Corporation and director of the Corporaci贸n Ravent贸s Group. She has championed female entrepreneurship, including as former director of the Asociaci贸n Credimujer, a World Bank affiliate supporting women-led microenterprises. She served as president of the Costa Rican Association of University Women and founded the Association for the Empowerment of Leadership and Social Advancement (ALAS) to promote women in leadership.
An influential voice on business and policy issues, Mar铆n Ravent贸s is a former columnist for La Rep煤blica and a weekly contributor to La Naci贸n. In 2011, she was named Businesswoman of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce of Costa Rica. She holds a law degree from the University of Costa Rica and a Master鈥檚 in government from Harvard University.
