Economist Nadim Shehadi Analyzes the Historical Factors Contributing to the Crises in Lebanon

Nadim Shehadi, a renowned Lebanese economist and thought leader, joins the Lebanon Ideas Forumto assess critical developments over the last few decades that contribute to the country’s current economic crisis. He also lays out what is at stake more broadly for Lebanon’s political and social order if the outlook does not change soon.

Nadim was formerly the Executive Director of the Lebanese American Unviersity New York Headquarters and Academic Center and an associate fellow of the Middle East and North Africa Program at Chatham House, among other leading roles in the academia and policymaking realms.
